Australian Foreign Minister Ms. Julie Bishop today called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. The two leaders discussed the regional and global issues of mutual interest. Mr Modi welcomed Australia joining the International Solar Alliance and said Australia's membership will provide a great boost to the Alliance. <br/><br/>Recalling the successful visit of Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to India in April 2017, Prime Minister Modi said, the bilateral relationship has deepened further since his own visit to Australia in 2014. Ms. Bishop briefed Mr Modi on the progress in bilateral relations since the visit of Mr Turnbull to India.
