Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd said today his government will wait until the end of the Kyoto climate pact in 2012 before pushing ahead with a local carbon emissions trade scheme.<br/><br/>He said that the delay will provide the Australian government at the time with a better position to assess the level of global action on climate change. <br/>
