Australia to brief India about measures taken to ensure safety of Indians

Australlia will brief India about the measures taken by its government to ensure safety and security of Indians. The Australlian Foreign Minister Stephen Smith will brief his Indian counterpart Mr.S M Krishna on the issue the sidelines of a conference in London later this week. Official sources said the meeting was sought by Mr.Smith. This comes in the backdrop of increasing attacks on Indian students including fatal stabbing of 21-year-old Nitin Garg earlier this month.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, a report from Melbourne say, two Indian students were punched, pushed to the ground and kicked by a mob in the city last night leading to the arrest of nine persons, five of whom were booked for assault.
