Australia has beaten India by 5 wickets in the first ODI at Perth, WACA. The hosts chased down a target of 310 in 49.2 overs. Skipper Steve Smith made 149 and George Bailey 112, being the main architect for the chase.For India, debutant Barinder Sran took 3 wickets, and R Ashwin took two. Earlier, after winning the toss India posted 309 for 3, propelled by Rohit Sharma's 171 not out. Rohit faced 163 balls and hit 13 boundaries and seven sixes. Rohit along with Virat Kohli steadied the innings as they helped in posting India's highest score against Australia in Australia. Kohli missed out on a century as he was out for 91. In the five matches ODI series, hosts now lead it 1-Nil.
