Australia declares second innings at 318/ 9; Gives India target of 384 runs

Chasing a target of 384 runs set by Australia, India were 8 for two in their second innings on 5th and final day of third Cricket Test at Melbourne when reports last came in. Earlier the hosts declared their second innings at 318 for 9 at lunch after resuming the play at the overnight score of 261 for 7. Shaun Marsh's 99 helped Australia set India a run-chase of 384 runs. Earlier India had scored 465 in their first innings in reply to Australia's 530. The hosts lead the four-match test series two-Nil.
