Aided by a spirited bowling display, Australia clinched the cricket tri-series title at the Adelaide Oval today. They beat Sri Lanka by 16 runs in a low scoring thriller after posting 231 all out. The hosts rode on pacer Clint McKay to stop Sri Lanka at 215 in the 3rd and deciding final. Bret Lee's 3 for 59 and stand in skipper Shane Watson's 2 for 13 gave Clint McKay ample support as the trio shared all the Sri Lankan wickets among themselves. Upul Tharanga led the Sri Lankan fight back with a patient knock of 71 to help the islanders recover from early jolts as Sri Lanka's top order failed. Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and sent the Australians into bat.
