In the ongoing Ashes series being played at Cardiff, Australia bowled out England at 289 in there second innings only after they had piled on a 411 runs lead on them. Australia has to better the previous chase record of 404, on an English soil in order to look for a win in the first test match of the Ashes series. The visitors put on a fight in last session, as England lost seven wickets in 30 overs. Joe Root and Ian Bell's knock of 60 each gave the hosts a mid rib in batting while others collapsed pre-maturely. Nathan Lyon scalped 4 wickets, while Johnson, Hazlewood and Starc took two each. Earlier, the day started with visitors batting at overnight score of 264 for 5, they could only add 43 runs before being bowled out.
