Hosts Australia today completed the 5-0 Ashes whitewash, as they defeated England by 281 runs in the final test at Sydney, with two days remaining. With this, Australia have become just the third side in the 140-year history of the game to complete an Ashes whitewash. Resuming the third day at the overnight score of 140 for 4, Australia were bundled out for 276 in the second innings, with England needing 448 runs to win. Chris Rogers made a superb 119, with George Bailey chipping in with a handy 46. Leg Spinner Scott Borthwick bagged the maximum of 3 wickets for the visitors.Chasing 448 for victory, England were dismissed for 166 in the post-tea session, with two days remaining. Ryan Harris scalped 5 wickets, Mitchell Johnson bagged 3, while Nathan Lyon took 2.Earlier, put in to bat, the Aussies had posted 326, replying to which England made 155.
