Australia 116 for 3 at stumps, trail by 75 runs

In reply to India's first innings score of 191, Hosts Australia were 116 for the loss of 3 wickets at the end of day one of the second test at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Skipper Michael Clarke (47*) and Ricky Ponting(44*) were at the crease.Earlier, after opting to bat first, India got off to a calamitous start and were dismissed for 191 in the post-tea session.With a brilliant 57, Skipper MS Dhoni top scored for the visitors. India, however, got back into the game, with a superb performance with the red cherry. Spearhead pacer Zaheer Khan made full use of the bouncy track by claiming 3 quick Aussie wickets. Australia is currently leading the 4-match series, 1-0.
