Aus Open: Paes & Stepanek to play Men's doubles final

In the Australian Open Tennis tournament at Melbourne, India's Leander Paes and his Czech partner Radek Stepanek will today clash with the top seeded Bryan brothers, Bob and Mike of the United States, in the finals of the Men's Doubles category.<br/><br/>In the semi-finals, the Indo-Czech duo had defeated the Belarusian-Canadian combine of Max Mirnyi and Daniel Nestor, 2-6, 6-4, 6-4.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, the summit clash of the Women's Singles event will also take place today. Russia's Maria Sharapova will take on Victoria Azarenka of the Czech Republic for the title. For a place in the finals, while fourth seed Sharapova outplayed second seeded Czech Petra Kvitova, World Number 3 Azarenka beat Kim Clijsters of Belgium.<br/><br/>Yesterday, Serbia's World Number One Novak Djokovic stormed into the finals of the Men's Singles, beating Briton Andy Murray 6-3, 3-6, 6-7, 6-1, 7-5 in an epic five-setter semi-final contest.<br/><br/>Djokovic, who is also the defending champion, will meet the second seeded Spaniard Rafael Nadal in the final match of the event, slated for tomorrow.
