Leander Paes and his Slovakian partner Daniela Hantuchova have advanced to the quarterfinals of the mixed doubles at the Australian Open Tennis championships. In Melbourne on Monday, the unseeded pair scored an upset victory over eighth seeds Mahesh Bhupathi and Elena Vesnina of Russia in three sets 6-0, 2-6 10-6.Two other Indian players, Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna also made it to the Mixed Doubles stage along with their partners. Sania Mirza reached the quarter-finals in the women's doubles also, partnering Cara Black of Zimbabwe.In other fixtures, Maria Sharapova crashed out of the tournament in another seismic shock. Dominika Cibulkova ousted injury-compromised Sharapova 3-6, 6-4, 6-1.Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Victoria Azarenka saw off challenges to keep their title bids intact.Wimbledon champion Scottish player Andy Murray defeated French Stephane Robert in four sets 6-1, 6-2, 6-7, 6-2.
