<br/>The Minister of information and broadcasting Ms Ambika Soni has said the Australian government has to ensure the safety of Indians in that country. <br/><br/>Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function in New Delhi on Friday, Ms. Soni said the both countries are in touch on the recent spate of attacks against Indians living in Australia. <br/><br/>The External affairs minister, Mr S M Krishna also took up the issue with his Australian counterpart last week on telephone and has made it clear that this may lead to a downswing in the relations between the two countries.
