Aug Trade deficit dips to 10.83 billion dollars

Trade deficit for the month of August 2014-15 has dipped to 10.83 billion dollars against the previous month of 12.23 billion dollars.Ministry of commerce today released a data showing that during the period from April to August 2014-15 the trade deficit stood at 56.15 billion dollars against 70.60 billion dollars during the same period of last year. However, during the period from April to August exports stood at 134.8 billion dollars which is 7.3 percent up as compare to the last year of same period. On the other hand, last five months imports dipped to 190.95 billion dollars, which is down by 2.7 percent of the same period of 2013-14.
