Union Minister for Steel and Mines Narendra Singh Tomar has said that auction of mines in various states under the new mining policy will commence this month. He said the auction will be transparent and corruption free. <br/><br/>Mr Tomar told reporters in Coimbatore that the process has already been started and the Centre has talked to states like Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan. He said Gujarat has even sent notices for the auction and hoped other states would also follow the suit.
