India lost the first cricket Test of the 2-match series against New Zealand by 40 runs at Auckland on Sunday.Needing 407 runs for victory, India resumed the fourth day's play at the overnight score of 87 for 1, with Shikhar Dhawan and Cheteshwar Pujara at the crease.After losing Pujara early, Team India saw a brilliant 126-run third wicket stand between Dhawan and Virat Kohli.The spirited India lost their way, after Neil Wagner got the hosts back into the game, claiming the wickets of Kohli and Dhawan. Dhawan made 115, while Kohli scored 67.
