ATS M’rashtra arrests 2008 Ahmedabad blast suspect

One person was killed, another hurt and one, who was suspected to be involved in 2008 Ahmedabad blasts was arrested following an encounter with the Aurangabad Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) in Roza Bagh in Aurangabad in Maharashtra on Monday afternoon. One ATS head constable Shaikh Arif has sustained injuries as one of the bullets fired at a close range hit him in the left hand, ‘Commissioner of police Sanjy Kumar, the ATS chief Navin Reddy said in Press Conference. Arif and the injured suspect Mohammad Shaker Hussain have been admitted to the government medical college and hospital. The suspect who was killed in the encounter was identified as Khalil alias Azar Kureshi. All the suspects are from Madhya Pradesh and one of them identified as Abrar Babukhan alias Munna, a resident of Indore is said to be suspected involved in the 2008 Ahmedabad blasts and is wanted by the MP police for his involvement in a number of serious offences.
