Earlier, they had lost their first Group B match to Jonathan Marray and Frederik Nielse. In other action, the pair of Third seeds Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek began their campaign at the season-ending World Tour finale with a straight set win over seventh seeds Aisam-ul Qureshi and Jean-Julien Roger, in London. The Indo-Czech pair defeated Pakistan-Dutch combo 6-4 ,7-5 in their opening doubles Group A match.
