ATP South Africa Tennis Open: Somdev, Martin enter doubles quarter-finals

Somdev Devvarman and David Martin have stormed into the doubles quarter-finals of the ATP South Africa Tennis Open tournament. In the opening round of the doubles event at Johannesburg, the Indo-American pair carved out a 6-3, 6-4 win over Austria's Martin Fischer and Rainer Schuettler of Germany.The winners next face Karo Beck of Slovakia and Dudi Sela of Isreal, who shocked top seeds Dustin Brown of Germany and Dutch Rogier Wassen 6-3 7-5 in their first round of the hard court tournament. Somdev has already booked a quarter-final berth in the singles competition. He beat Jesse Huta Galung yesterday and will clash against South African Rik de Voest for a place in the semi-finals.
