ATP Dubai: Djokovic, Federer, Murray cruise into quarterfinal

Top seed Novak Djokovic, second seed Roger Federer, third seed Andy Murray and fourth seed Tomas Berdych have entered the last eight of ATP Tennis Championship in Dubai. Six-time winner Roger Federer blew away the challenge of Spain's Fernando Verdasco 6-4, 6-3 in a second round match. After trailing 4-1 in the first set, the Swiss maestro won 20 straight points to win the match in style. Federer plays Richard Gasquet in the Semifinals.World Number one, Novak Djokovic thrashed Andrey Golubev 6-1, 6-2 in one hour. Third seed Andy Murray outclassed Joao Sousa 6-0, 6-2 in even lesser time. Last year finalist and fourth seed Tomas Berdych was pushed to three sets by Italian Simone Bolelli 7-6, 5-7, 6-0. In other matches, Denis Istomin beat Sergiy Takhovsky 6-4, 3-6, 6-4, while Richard Gasquet defeated Roberto Baista Agut 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.In Doubles, Leander Paes and his partner Raven Klassen crashed out in the first round itself. They were shocked by Jamie Murray and Johan Peers 2-6, 6-4, 10-8 in a three setter. Paes and Klassen won the first set with ease. But Murray and Peers fought back to win the second set 6-4 and then in the tie breaker they held on to their nerves to emerge winners.
