Under Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, 500 crore rupees was allocated to the sector to enhance engagement of farmers in the sector of honey and wax production.<br />”&nbsp;<br />”India is among the world’s top five honey producers and in a span of over a decade, honey production in the country has risen by 242 percent and exports shot by 265 percent. The National Bee Board has also created four modules to impart training as part of the National Beekeeping and Honey Mission and over 30 lakh farmers have been trained in beekeeping from across the country.&nbsp;<br />
