Atleast 11 killed, several injured in multiple blast in Hyderabad

In Andhra Pradesh, at least ELEVEN persons feared dead and several others injured when MULTIPLE blasts took place in Hyderabad this evening.

The incident took place around 7 pm at different places in busy Dilshuknagar area of Hyderabad. The police are yet to ascertain the reason behind the blasts.

Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Union Home Secretary, RK Singh said he has already spoken to Governor, Chief Secretary and DGP of the state. He also said local National Investigation Team has reached the spot and the affected area has been cordoned off.

Reports say that one blast took place near a cinema theatre in the busy Dilshuknaga area while another took place near a bus stand in the same area.

Meanwhile, red alert has been sounded in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Additional forces have been moved to all important places in the city.

In the wake of Hyderabad blasts, Security has been tightened and high alert has been sounded in many parts of the country. A senior Delhi Police official said security was stepped up in the national capita. Alerts has been sounded across West Bengal and Karnataka.
