Mr Suresh Kalmadi, Chairman, Oraganising Committee, Commonwealth Games 2010 on Wednesday said that the athletes worldwide need not worry about their security during the games. He dismissed reports that players may be attacked by terrorists during the October 3-14 events in New Delhi next year. He said that the government is committed to this and the players should not worry even a bit about their security. Mr Kalmadi said, there was no reason to be worried as the Commonwealth Games Federation has already cleared the security plans for the Games.
