<span style="color: #222222;">In Jammu and Kashmir, Financial Commissioner of Health and Medical Education Department Atal Dulloo reviewed the functioning and achievements of J&K AIDS Control Society yesterday. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He passed on directions to the concerned officers for effective implementation of the initiatives taken under JKACS. It was informed that full-fledged Anti-Retroviral Treatment Centre has been established at GMC, Kathua, while project proposals for Anantnag, Udhampur, Rajouri and Doda, GMCs are in the pipeline. It was also informed that JKACS is implementing HIV and Tuberculosis intervention in prisons with the support of an NGO.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">A sensitization programme for jail inmates has also been conducted and 600 inmates were sensitized about HIV and drug addiction. He directed for increase in the antenatal check-ups of women during pregnancy to monitor the progress of foetal growth and to ascertain the well being of the mother and the foetus.</span><br />
