At least three policemen were killed in an encounter with the naxalites in the Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh on Wednesday evening. According to the police sources, the naxalites opened fire on these police men belonging to the District Force in the Gopalli area of the district. The encounter continued for about an hour.<br/><br/>Police today recovered the bodies of two villagers from the Bijapur Ghati in the Naxal affected Bijapur district of the state. The naxalites are said to have killed these two villagers suspecting them to be police informers.
