In Pakistan, at least 8 people have been killed by two blasts at a Sufi shrine in the city of Karachi. Several other people were injured in the explosions which hit the Abdullah Shah Ghazi shrine on its busiest evening of the week. Police believe the blasts were suicide attacks. Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari has condemned the incident in the strongest possible terms. He said the blasts had happened on the evening when people gathered to hand out free food to the poor. The explosions come a few months after more than 40 people were killed in an attack on another Sufi shrine in Lahore.
