In Pakistan at least 56 people, including women and children, were killed and 80 others injured in a bomb attack at a historic church in Peshawar today.
Commissioner Peshawar Muhammad Anis said twin suicide bombers targeted worshippers when they were coming out of one of the oldest churches in the city after Sunday mass.
Police said the dead include four children three to eight years old and one police official. Nearby buildings were also damaged due to the intensity of the blast.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but radical Islamists have been blamed for previous attacks on the
country's minority communities, including Christians.
Condemning the attack Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that such cruel acts of terrorism reflect the brutality and inhumane mind set of the terrorists.
