In Pakistan, at least five people have been killed and 34 others injured when a blast hit a CD shop at a market area in the north western city of Peshawar. The local Geo TV channel said that the incident took place last night and five of the injured people were in critical condition. The blast damaged some 20 shops nearby and several shops and vehicles caught fire following the blast. Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari issued a statement strongly condemning the attack that killed innocent civilians.
