At least 36 child labourers were rescued from different places in the national capital while 11 factories were sealed by Delhi police accompanied by a team of NGO- Bachpan Bachao Andolan. According to the NGO, the raid was conducted in Ghonda chowk on Tuesday where eight children were rescued and five factories were sealed and four employers were also arrested. In another rescue operation 13 children were freed in New Seelampur area, while in Khureji Khas area 15 children were recovered and six factories were sealed. Children in all the areas were working in pitiful conditions and were victims of trafficking for bonded labour from the state of Bihar. These children were mostly employed in zari units, bakery shops and dhabas.
