The landmine blast in the Dantewada district of Chhattisgharh has so far claimed the lives of 31 people, which includes 16 SPOs and police constables. Dantewada Superintendendt of police Mr. Ameresh Mishra said that about 40 people including 16 SPOs have also been injured in this incident, some of them seriously. The dead bodies have been brought to Sukma, where the badly bruised bodies of the victims are being identified. The injured have been admitted to different hospitals in Jagdalpur and Dantewada. It may be mentioned here that naxalites had blasted off a passenger bus last evening near Singavaram in the Dantewada district of the state. Police have launched a search operation in the area of the incident.<br/><br/>However, unofficial reports said that at least fifty persons were killed in the attack.
