In Pakistan, at least 20 militants have been killed and several others injured as some 100 militants attacked a check post in the northwestern city of Peshawar. The local Urdu TV channel DAWN said the attack took place in the early hours on Wednesday when a group of about one hundred militants reportedly attacked the Manzor Shaheed check post in the city. According to the report, the security forces there fought back killing over 20 militants and injuring several others. The report said two security personnel were also killed in the crossfire.
