In Pakistan, at least 18 people were killed and six others injured, in political violence in the southern port city of Karachi, on Wednesday. Police said, unidentified gunmen carried out the killings in different areas of the city. The violence is believed to be the outcome of rivalries between political parties that draw their strength from different ethnic groups.
