In Pakistan, at least 18 people have been killed and dozens were wounded when two back-to-back explosions rocked Parachinar in Kurram tribal agency. Officials said the dual-explosions took place as people were busy shopping for Iftar and Eid in the Turi Bazaar area of Parachinar. The second explosion took place as people rushed to provide aid and rescue the wounded from the first explosion. Political administration confirmed that 18 people were killed and at least 70 were injured in the explosions. Hospital officials have confirmed that at least 20 of the wounded are in critical condition. <br/><br/>Earlier today in a suicide car bombing at Shuhada Chowk in Quetta 13 people, including six policemen, were killed and 21 people were injured. The blast had occurred near the office of the inspector general of police Balochistan on Gulistan Road. Civil Defence Director Aslam Tareen said initial investigation report revealed that 75 kilogrammes of explosives were used in the attack. <br/><br/>A Balochistan government spokesperson said the suspected bomber, travelling in a vehicle, tried to break a security perimeter to target police offices situated nearby, but blew up after policemen standing guard at the location attempted to stop him.
