In Iraq, at least 15 people have been killed in fighting between security officials and inmates at a jail complex in Baghdad. Officials said, that one of those killed was an Al Qaeda leader accused of planning an attack on a Catholic church in Baghdad last year which killed 50 people. Iraqi Prime minister Noori Al Maliki has ordered the formation of an investigative committee on the incident in a prison in Baghdad, where at least 15 people were killed in fighting between security officers and prisoners. Baghdad's security spokesman Major-General Qassim al-Moussawi said that the dead included an al Qaeda leader Huthaifa al-Batawi known as the “Emir of Baghdad” who planned an attack on a Catholic church last October in which more than 50 people died. Iraqi security forces have been on high alert for revenge attacks by al Qaeda since U.S. commandos killed the group's leader Osama bin Laden in Pakistan recently.
