In Pakistan, at least 13 people were killed and four others injured in a U S drone attack in northwestern tribal area today. Local media report said the drone fired six missiles at a seminary and two missiles at a car parked in a hotel in Datta Khel area of North Waziristan tribal region. Some reports said that the killed were suspected militants, but their identities could not be confirmed. It was the first drone strike in Pakistan since U.S. forces killed Osama bin Laden on Monday in Abbottabad. Today's strike also is the 26th of its kind since 2011. To date, over 180 people have reportedly been killed in the 26 strikes launched by the U.S. drones since the beginning of this year. Out of the 26 strikes, 22 were conducted in North Waziristan while the remaining four were carried out in the neighboring tribal area of South Waziristan.
