In West Bengal, at least ten people were killed and several others injured in two road accidents at South 24 Pargana and Nadia districts last night. The incident occurred when the victims were returning after seeing Durga Idols on Maha Saptami day . Eight people died at Diamond harbour in South 24 Pargana while two succumbed to injures at Nadia district. The injured have been admitted into local hospitals.

In another incident one ten year girl died in a ride mishap at a community Pooja Pandal in Kolkata last night.
