At 24/1, India to resume 1st innings

India will resume their first innings at the overnight score of 24 for 1 against England on the second day of the second Cricket Test at Trent Bridge in Nottingham today. VVS Laxman on 13 and Rahul Dravid on 7 were at the crease when the stumps were drawn.The Indian seamers hogged the limelight on the opening day yesterday after Skipper MS Dhoni opted to field first. Praveen Kumar, Ishant Sharma and S Sreesanth bagged 3 wickets each as England were bundled out for a modest 221 in their first innings. S Sreesanth was included in place of injured Zaheer Khan.Ishant Sharma started the wickets deluge for the tourists, trapping Alistair Cook leg before in the fifth over. From there on it was Indian seam all the way. At one stage, England were 124 for 8. But it was tail-ender Stuart Broad's resistance at the end that helped the Britons cross the 200-mark. He made a superb 64.Hosts England are currently leading the four-match series 1-0.
