In Tripura the polling process which started from 7 in the morning is going on peacefully. According to the Chief Electoral Officer the polling percentage till 10:30 is 25%. Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar cast his vote from Sishu Bihar polling Booth of Agartala today. Meanwhile two choppers are being used for the state election to oversee deployment of forces. Electronic Voting Machine, EVM malfunctioning has been reported from 30 places around the state in the initial hours, but Chief Electoral Officer, Tripura, informed that all 30 EVMs have been restored and the polling process has started in those constituencies. A total of 249 candidates including 15 women are in the fray in the Assembly election.
