Election Commission has requested RBI to hike the cash withdrawal limit of candidates fighting assembly elections to two lakh rupees per week. In a letter to RBI Governor, the Commission has said the enhance limit may be kept in place only till the date of declaration of results on 11th of March. <br/><br/>Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur will go to poll starting from 4th of next month. This came after the poll body was apprised about the problem being faced by the candidates due to imposition of limits of cash withdrawal from banks post-demonetization of high value currency notes. <br/><br/>Currently, a person can withdraw cash upto ten thousand rupees in a day from ATMs. However, the they cannot withdraw more than 24 thousand rupees in a week from banks and ATMs.
