Assam’s Manas National Park reopens on November 5

In Assam, the Manas National Park will reopen for tourist on 5th November after its annual monsoon closure. The Director of the park Mr. Anindya Swargiwari said that after its re-inclusion in he prestigious list of World Heritage Site, more tourists both domestic and foreign, are likely to visit this time. Park authorities are at present busy in renovation and maintenance works of the park. At present Manas is home of One Horned Rhino, wild-buffalos, little known White-Winged duck and Manipur bush quail, among others. The park has air, rail and road connectivity. While Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Borjhar in Guwhati is the nearest Airport, Barpeta Road is the nearest Railway station.
