In Assam, curfew has been relaxed in Dhubri town Bilasipara sub -division today. In Dhubri, curfew has been relaxed from 10 am to 3 pm while in Bilasipara sub -division it is from 6 am to 6 pm. Indefinite curfew was relaxed in Chirang district yesterday by the district administration. Meanwhile, security has been intensified in the violence hit Dhubri district. Senior police officers are camping in the district to take stock of the situation. Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi will visit violence-hit districts today.Mr.Gandhi will meet people who are staying at relief camps and also take stock of relief and rehabilitation measures.Meanwhile presenting the Ministry's Report Card for the month of August in New Delhi yesterday , the Union Home Minister Shri Sushil Kumar Shinde said that normalcy is returning to Assam gradually and people are going back from relief camps to their native places. He said sufficientsecurity arrangements have been made by the forces in the vulnerable areas of Assam to prevent recurrence of communal violence incidents in future.
