In Assam, voting for 26-member Karbi Anglong Autonomous District Council is underway smoothly amidst tight security. The voting started at 7 this morning in 798 polling centres of the hill district. Over 5 lakh 86 thousand electorates of the tribal-dominated district are eligible to exercise their franchise to elect their representatives among 128 contesting candidates.
