The inter-ministerial delegation of Joint Secretaries arrived today in Dhubri district of Assam to take stock of the relief and rehabilitation measures. The seven member team visited a relief camp in Bilasipara sub-division of the district and met the inmates. The team will also visit Kokrajhar, Chirang and Baksa districts and see the steps being taken for relief and rehabilitation of those affected during the recent violence.
Our correspondent reports that no untoward incident has been reported in the violence marred areas. 246 miscreants have been arrested so far for indulging in violence.
