In Assam, the death toll in recent violence has gone up to 37 with the recovery of four more bodies today. Assam Home Commissioner G D Tripathi said that two bodies were found in Baksa district while another two in Barpeta district.

He also said that the Assam government has announced to give a reward of 25 thousand rupees for providing information on illegal arms. A massive drive has been launched by the army and security forces to seize illegal arms in the state.

Meanwhile, search operation by the disaster response teams is on along the Beki river to trace 11 missing persons of Narayanguri in Baksa district. They went missing since Friday after miscreants attacked Narayanguri area.
