In Assam, Rangati Misamara under Narayanpur Revenue circle at Lakhimpur district has become the first village in the country to have full insurance coverage .The village has achieved this success under the Centre’s Financial Inclusion plan, which is being implemented by Assam Grameen Bikash Bank across the state. The manager of the bank’s Narayanpur branch said all the families and adult population of the village had been covered under the insurance scheme.
