<span style="color: #222222;">In Assam, State Health Department will start a Community Surveillance in the state from tomorrow in view of Corona virus outbreak. Talking to AIR, Mission Director of the National Health Mission Dr. Lakshmanan S said that 28 thousand villages will be covered in the first phase. He said that after villages, urban areas to be covered if required. He informed that ASHA, Auxiliary Nurse Midwife and the Survillance Team will visit door to door in this process.<br />''<br />''The objective of this initiative is to treat the symptomatic minor flu cases at homes. It will also help in strengthening the surveillance for other diseases associated with fever like Malaria, Dengue , Japanese Encephalitis and Measles among others. Dr. Lakshmanan said that it would also help in treating the stranded passengers, if required, who are coming from outside the state.</span><br />
