<span style="color: #222222;">The Assam government has decided to open its borders with North Eastern states except Sikkim  from tomorrow to allow return of stranded people to the state. Talking to news persons in Guwahati , Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that all those people who would return to be screened at inter state borders.  </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said that the Assam government has also issued a new helpline number to facilitate the return of stranded people outside the state . The number is- 7428159966. He said that citizens will get a link on their mobile numbers within 48 hours.  The Minister said that 2 Additional DGP rank officers will monitor the entire process. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr. Sarma also said that those who are willing to return to Assam using personal vehicles or conveyances would be allowed to do so if they apply for passes.  The Minister said that around 20 lakh people are outside the state. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said that 2.55 lakh people stranded outside the state are given 2 thousand rupees each under Assam Cares. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has held a meeting with the editors of the media houses and thanked them for creating awareness to prevent Covid 19.<br />'' <br />'' </span><br />
