In Assam, six persons, including five Railway employees died on-the-spot and three injured critically when the car they were travelling-in skidded off the road and fell into a 25-feet deep ditch at Gemon Naharani area in Dibrugarh district last evening. The mishap occurred when they were returning from their work at the five kilometer-long road-cum-rail Bogibeel bridge project site near Dibrugarh. The critically injured have been admitted to nursing homes at Dibrugarh town. State Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has condoled the tragic death of the Railway employees.
