<span style="color: #222222;">In Assam, senior Congress leader and legislator from Mariani  Rupjyoti Kurmi resigned from the party and assembly today. Mr. Kurmi submitted his resignation to the Speaker of the assembly Biswajit Daimari. Mr. Kurmi represented Mariani assembly seat for consecutive 4 times. He is likely to join the ruling BJP soon. Meanwhile, the Congress has set up a 3 member committee to visit Mariani constituency and to meet party workers after his resignation.</span><br />
