In Assam, security forces have gunned down on Wednesday a dreaded NDFB bomber and one of the prime suspects in the October 30 serial blasts of 2008 in Kokrajhar. <br/><br/>According to police, a joint team of police and Army conducted an operation in Kajigaon area of Kokrajhar district around 9-15 am on Wednesday morning. The NDFB cadre belonging to third battalion of the outfit was killed after a fierce encounter that lasted for over half an hour. <br/><br/>The slain extremist has been identified as Shantiram alias Susaou alias Tiger. Police recovered a nine mm pistol and five rounds of ammunition apart from several incriminating documents from the dead militant. A pan card was also recovered from the encounter site.<br/>
