In Assam, security forces gunned down a dreaded NDFB bomber and one of the prime suspects in the serial blasts of 2008 in Kokrajhar this morning. According to police, a joint team of police and Army conducted an operation in Kajigaon area of district around 9-15 am. The NDFB cadre belonging to third battalion of the outfit was killed after a fierce encounter that lasted for over half an hour. Police recovered a nine mm pistol and five rounds of ammunition apart from several incriminating documents from the dead terrorist. A pan card was also recovered from the encounter site.<br/>
